Salford and Widnes kick off the 10th Magic Weekend on Saturday, followed by Warringtons clash with Castleford, who are hoping they have turned the corner after their nine-try triumph at Headingley. Cheap Air Max 97 Blue China . The Grand Final re-match between Leeds and Wigan will then bring down the curtain on day one of the two-day extravaganza. All the games are live on Sky Sports 3 HD, with coverage underway from 2pm.Salford v Widnes (2.30pm)Salford are without utility back Niall Evalds through suspension so Josh Jones is set to switch from the second row to centre to plug the gap. Coach Ian Watson has added Jake Bibby and Jordan Walne to the team that lost at St Helens. Salford have so far clawed back just two of the six points they were docked for breaching the salary cap but vice-captain Michael Dobson says they remain confident they can climb out of the bottom four at the expense of Widnes, who are in freefall after losing their last seven matches. That makes them very dangerous, Dobson said. It makes it a must-win for them and for us every game is a must-win if we want to get into the eight. Were only six points off eighth spot and thats Widnes so, if we can knock them off this week, its down to four so its not out of the equation. Michael Dobson and Joe Mellor say theyre expecting an entertaining game when Salford take on Widnes in the first game of Magic Weekend Widnes are boosted by the return of skipper Kevin Brown, a Magic Weekend ever-present who scored a hat-trick of tries in last years win over the Red Devils at St James Park and has missed the last three games with an ankle injury. Centre Chris Bridge is also back after recovering from a calf strain. The Vikings Joe Mellor is hoping the potential return of Kevin Brown, who has missed five of those seven losses, can help the one-time leaders stop the rot.Because we started the season so well, its hard to take, but were training hard and putting in good performances without getting results, Mellor said. When is Magic Weekend on Sky? Magic Weekend is back at St James Park and there are a host of ways to watch it live on Sky Sports. Weve just got to keep working hard because thats the only way were going to get out of this bad run.Hopefully Kev will be back this week and we can get back to what we were doing at the start of the season.Salford: Jake Bibby, Justin Carney, Michael Dobson, Mark Flanagan, George Griffin, Weller Hauraki, Josh Jones, Phil Joseph, Craig Kopczak, Olsi Krasniqi, Ryan Lannon, Rob Lui, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Gareth OBrien, Junior Sau, Logan Tomkins, Adam Walne, Jordan Walne, Daniel Vidot.Widnes: Chris Bridge, Kevin Brown, Hep Cahill, Jay Chapelhow, Chris Dean, Gil Dudson, Rhys Hanbury, Aaron Heremaia, Chris Houston, Macgraff Leuluai, Manase Manuokafoa, Joe Mellor, Eamon OCarroll, Charly Runciman, Stefan Marsh, Setaimata Sa, Corey Thompson, Lloyd White, Matt Whitley.Warrington v Castleford (4.45pm) Warrington have lost three-quarter trio Kevin Penny, Ryan Atkins and Rhys Evans to injury but welcome back half-back Stefan Ratchford after he missed the defeat at Wakefield through illness and coach Tony Smith calls up former Leeds prop Ryan Bailey for the first time and centre Toby King for the first time this season after a lengthy injury lay-off.The Wolves remain top on points difference despite their surprise defeat at Wakefield last Sunday and captain Chris Hill concedes they are still striving for consistency. Were not really looking at the table, we just need to get back to playing some consistent rugby like we were at the beginning of the year, Hill said.Cas are playing really well. Theyve really brought it back round so its going to be a tough encounter. Castlefords Michael Shenton pays tribute to Tigers playmaker Luke Gale as he and Warringtons Chris Hill look ahead to the game Castleford are boosted by the availability of stand-off Ben Roberts, who has been on the sidelines for 10 weeks with a foot injury, while utility back Ryan Hampshire and centre or second rower Jake Webster are also back in contention. Prop forward Lee Jewitt drops out of the team that won at Leeds.Warrington: Ryan Bailey, Daryl Clark, Jordan Cox, Ben Currie, Kurt Gidley, Chris Hill, Benjamin Jullien, George King, Toby King, Tom Lineham, Gene Ormsby, Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford, Matty Russell, Ashton Sims, Morgan Smith, Joe Westerman, Ben Westwood,Sam Wilde.Castleford: Matt Cook, Ben Crooks, Luke Dorn, Paddy Flynn, Luke Gale, Ryan Hampshire, Nathan Massey, Mike McMeeken, Paul McShane, Grant Millington, Adam Milner, Junior Moors, Joel Monaghan, Larne Patrick, Ben Roberts, Gadwin Springer, Denny Solomona, Danny Tickle, Jake Webster.Leeds v Wigan (7pm) Leeds coach Brian McDermott admits there would be no better way for the Super League champions to kick-start their disastrous season than with victory over Wigan in a repeat of the 2015 Grand Final. The Rhinos, who included the league leaders shield as part of their treble last season, remain rooted to the foot of the table after losing 11 of their 14 matches so far, including a demoralising 28-6 defeat by the Warriors in March.Leeds fortunes hit a new low with a 52-12 home defeat by Castleford, a week after crashing out of the Challenge Cup, and McDermott says he has been forced to once more re-set his aims as he prepares for the Magic Weekend showdown with Wigan.Weve changed one or two things but weve been doing that since rounds two and three, McDermott said. Weve been adapting each week. After what was a really disappointing performance against Cas, youve got to look at what we do and look at what are are trying to achieve and re-evaluate those things, which is always difficult mid-season.To beat Wigan would be a boost for us.Wigan captain Sean OLoughlin fully expects the fallen champions to emerge from their slump but is hoping it is not at the expense of his side. Wigan captain Sean OLoughlin and Leeds captain Danny McGuire are expecting a tough game and a special atmosphere Obviously theyve not been going well but were coming off the back of two Super League losses as well so neither of us are in the best form, OLoughlin said. Both teams are desperate for a win.Theyre wounded at the minute but you only have to look at the quality theyve still got in their side. I dont think theyre too far away and, when they do click, they can kick on for the season. We dont want to be the team that kick-starts it for them.Despite back-to-back defeats, Wigan remain within touching distance of the leaders in a congested top half of the table in which two points separate the top six.Nobody has gripped it yet, OLoughlin said. We still feel its wide open for the top spot.Leeds: Zak Hardaker, Kallum Watkins, Danny McGuire, Rob Burrow, Keith Galloway, Beau Falloon, Adam Cuthbertson, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Brett Delaney, Brad Singleton, Mitch Garbutt, Jimmy Keinhorst, Mitch Achurch, Anthony Mullally, Josh Walters, Ash Handley, Ashton Golding, Jordan Lilley, Brett Ferres.Wigan: John Bateman, Greg Burke, Josh Charnley, Dom Crosby, Ben Flower, Oliver Gildart, Willie Isa, Dom Manfredi, Lee Mossop, Sean OLoughlin, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Matty Smith, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Lewis Tierney, Joel Tomkins, Sam Tomkins, George Williams.Watch the Magic Weekend live on Sky Sports 3 HD and Sky Sports 1 HD. Every once in awhile, it seems like life lets dreams become real - and that is a gift.LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The only time Victor Espinoza won the Kentucky Derby was aboard War Emblem in 2002. They broke from the No. 5 post, the same position hell start the 140th edition of the race with early 5-2 favourite California Chrome. "Hopefully, thats my lucky number," Espinoza said Wednesday. Eight horses have won from there, most recently Funny Cide in 2003. "I think its a perfect spot," trainer Art Sherman said. "I think we break clean, hell get out of a lot of trouble. Hes got a little gas leaving there." At 77, Sherman could become the oldest trainer to win the Derby, surpassing Charlie Whittinghams record of 76 when Sunday Silence won in 1989. California Chrome comes into the Derby having won his last four starts by a combined 24 1/4 lengths. "Just an amazing horse to ride," Espinoza said. "I let him do his own thing and I think he likes that." Hoppertunity was made the 6-1 second choice in the full field of 20 horses. Hoppertunity, who lost to California Chrome in the Santa Anita Derby, drew the No. 11 post for the race Saturday at Churchill Downs. Hes trained by Bob Baffert, a three-time Derby winner with two starters. "Other than California Chrome, whos proven hes a really good horse, theres a lot of horses in there that are pretty close," Baffert said. "Theres a lot of parity in this field." His other horse, Chitu, is a 20-1 long shot that drew the No. 13 post. Wicked Strong, named for the victims of last years Boston Marathon bombings, is the 8-1 third choice and will break from the 20th post on the far outside. He and the No. 10 horse, Wildcat Red, will be last ones loaded into the starting gate, so they wont be in there very long. Some trainers dont like the No. 20 post because their horse is on the far outside and has to quickly make its way over toward the rail to save ground. Calvin Borel will break from the No. 19 post aboard Ride On Curlin. The jockey nicknamed "Bo-rail" for his love of riding along the rail has won three Derbies since 2007, and hell have to hustle his horse over quickly to snag his favourite position. California Chrome, Hoppertunity and Wicked Strong were the only horses listed at single digits by Chhurchill Downs oddsmaker Mike Battaglia. Cheap Air Max 97 Black China. Danza is the 10-1 fourth choice and drew the No. 4 post. Hes one of four horses trained by Todd Pletcher. The others are: Intense Holiday, 12-1; Vinceremos, 30-1; and We Miss Artie, 50-1. "We made out well," Pletcher said. "It doesnt matter where you draw, youre just looking for a clean trip." Mike Maker will saddle a trio of horses: General a Rod, 15-1; Harrys Holiday, 50-1; and Vicars In Trouble, a 30-1 shot that drew the dreaded No. 1 post. Rosie Napravnik will be aboard Vicars In Trouble trying to become the first female jockey to win the Derby. She was fifth last year with Mylute, the highest finish by a woman in history. Napravnik watched the draw from the jockeys room at the track. "I was just kind of shocked, being the first one drawn," she said. "Vicars real sharp out of the gate and I think hell be able to get in good position. Theres been plenty of winners out of the one-hole, so Vicars not in trouble yet." Eight horses have won from the first spot in the starting gate, but none since Ferdinand in 1986. Most trainers despise the No. 1 hole because their horse starts next to the rail and could get pinched going into the crowded first turn. The starting gate is loaded two horses at a time, and the first ones to go in will be Vicars In Trouble and No. 11 Hoppertunity, meaning theyll have the longest wait while the rest of the field is loaded. "Hes a pretty cool, calm horse so he should be fine in there," Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith said about Hoppertunity. Hoppertunity didnt race as a 2-year-old, setting him up for a chance to break one of the Derbys oldest jinxes: no horse since Apollo in 1882 has won the Derby without racing at 2. The No. 10 post has produced the most Derby winners with nine, most recently in 2005, when Smith won with 50-1 shot Giacomo. Wildcat Red, trained by Jose Garrafalo, landed in that spot this time. The other 50-1 shot in the race is Commanding Curve, who will break from the No. 17 post. The 21st horse on the points list is Pablo Del Monte, an also eligible who would need a defection before 9 a.m. Friday, when Derby wagering opens, to get into the $2.2 million race. ' ' '
